Marisol D’Andrea
Marisol D’Andrea has been a visual artist (painter) for about 25 years, an illustrator, and a researcher. Her PhD thesis examined the decision-making process for arts funding at the Canadian arts councils. For the length of her academic and artistic career, she has been exploring the career paths of artists. Hence, she studies topics such as diversity, leadership, innovation, and social justice. She is the author of the 2019 book, The Power of Artistic Thinking: Think Like an Artist and Innovate and a dozen academic journal articles in the field of the arts. In addition, she recently published a journal article on diversity and minority leadership in the Journal of Underrepresented & Minority Progress. Currently, she is an independent researcher and resides in Toronto, Canada.
